Passage to Vindia

On Thursday December 1st at 7 p.m., the Pennsylvania Wine Society presents a great evening of wine and food at Passage To India located downtown in Harrisburg (Shipoke). Whenever we survey the membership regarding favorite events, the social events like this one are always at the top of the list. We anticipate a nice attendance and you will not be disappointed.

Instead of our traditional Blue Light event, we decided to partner with a great Harrisburg restaurant and select wines that will pair well with this type of fare. For those of you that know Passage To India, you know that we have a very special Indian restaurant in Harrisburg—their food is not only authentic, but renowned. If you're a fan of Indian food then you know that this restaurant rivals any New York or Philadelphia restaurant for sure. I am in the process of putting the menu items together and for those of you that may not enjoy Indian cuisine, we may offer a few additional food items. Thankfully, Passage To India has managed to dodge the flood; however, it has certainly been in the way of the planning process. Please stay tuned for more details.

Once the food items have been selected, we will survey our local PLCB stores for Chairman's Selections and wines that offer a solid value to feature at this event. The stores seem to be loaded with options and we are certainly excited to offer six to eight selections depending upon price. We are trying very hard to keep the price of this event down so that you can invite non-members to experience the PA Wine Society. Food and wine events are generally more expensive and it becomes a challenge as everything gets more expensive these days. Think of this as our holiday party and let's get everyone out for a great night of food, wine and fun.
