Blind Tasting

Have you ever been out to dinner, or attended a dinner party with friends and been asked to select the wines for the evening? Have you ever felt like the blind leading the blind? Have you been attending PWS events for some time and felt that you knew less about wine when you left the event than you did when you arrived? Have you ever gone to an event and just sat there with drool oozing off of your chin because your day was so grueling, you had no brain power left to engage? Have you ever wanted to attend a wine event just to have fun and *POOF*… have knowledge impute itself into your mind?

WELL HAVE WE GOT THE EVENT FOR YOU!

For the first time in recent memory, the PWS is offering a blind tasting! For the newbies, the attendees are not blindfolded, the wines are. On Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Harrisburg Hilton, we will enjoy and experience 12 wines—six whites and six reds. We can’t tell you any more about the wines right now, but we can tell you this: we will be setting up tables in groups of six and each table will be competing against all other tables for prizes, so get your tables set early! First prize will be one voucher for each person at the table good for one complimentary PWS wine tasting event, with a maximum value of $55.00, good for 2011 through 2012. Second prize will be a home-cooked wine and food dinner with a PWS Past President at a date to be mutually decided. And there will be a third prize… to be named later.

Mark your calendar for this event. It is priced well. It will sell well. This is a GREAT event for the experienced and the novice alike!
